There’s a jam for everyone, and at the festival, we encourage jams where intermediate and beginners can take part without intimidation.
Not everyone can keep up the pace with the fastest pickers in the jams. But bluegrass is for everyone, and for the less experienced pickers, we will facilitate slow-jams where beginners and intermediate players can have fun with some of the standard tunes at a more reasonable tempo. As starting point and a common reference for songs, we have made the slow jam companion, a booklet of common songs in jams.
